NJ Consumer Protection Enhancement Act states agreement now required to see homes

In early July, 2024 Gov. Murphy signed Bill S3192/A4454, also known as the Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Act, into law. The law, went into effect Aug. 1, 2024, strengthens both consumer and real estate licensee protections.

WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU

This is simply the state-required paperwork so that we can represent you and show you the properties we're introducing you to. This does not mean you have to pay your agent just to see homes. It simply means you agree to compensate the agent if you decide to buy a home. Every Real Estate agent in the USA must adhere to this federal and state law. The TrueNorth Group makes this simple with a non-exclusive buyer agency agreement from NJ Realtors, which makes the process seamless. It is the intent of the parties that Broker seek to negotiate payment of Broker's compensation directly from the seller as part of any offer to purchase.
